Bolangir: Acting on a tip-off, Town police busted a turmeric powder debasement unit at Club Pada here and held onto an immense dispatch of rice powder, husk, white compound and leaves and twigs of trees, Monday.

Police additionally confined the owner of the unit Rajesh Sharma and one of his partners during the strike. The three were arrested and being addressed in this association. Police sent the held onto things for research center assessment and educated the nourishment assessor on the advancement, SDPO Sumant Barik said. Further examinations were on, the SDPO included.

Police said Sharma who was running an arrangement shop close by had built up the plant and tainting turmeric powder and selling them in the market for the sake of ATM Spices Company of Chhattisgarh. He was corrupting the turmeric powder by utilizing rice powder, husk, white compound powder and leaves and twigs of trees. During confirmation some held onto turmeric bundles were found to have been lapsed. Police presumed that Sharma was utilizing his shop as a business point to convey the contaminated turmeric bundles in the area and outside.

When reached, Sharma dismissed the charges expressing that he was really fabricating Rangoli available to be purchased in the market.
