Speaking at the roadshow, Priyanka claimed PM Narendra Modi has become disconnected with ground realities.

Separately, at the Jhandeswar crossing, some people also waved saffron flags at Priyanka, and she just smiled.

Priyanka started her roadshow from Shastri Park after garlanding a statue of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Priyanka said PM Modi paid no attention to what people said and for the last five years, his government fooled people by talking about achievements.

Annu will lock horns with Sakshi Maharaj
Candidate

Meanwhile, Congress' candidate Annu will be locking horns with sitting MP Sakshi Maharaj in Unnao, which goes for votes on Monday.

Initially, SP fielded Pooja Lal, a well-known OBC leader from the seat, but later replaced her with Anna Maharaj.

Annu dismissed reports that SP dropped Pooja to make the fight two-way. She claimed Pooja's candidature had some technical issues.

Seat

2 lakh voters of Lodhi community OBCs and an equal number of Muslims along with OBC Pal community constitute the Unnao seat. Some 80,000 Brahmins will also vote.

Locals feel the fight is essentially between Congress and BJP.

In 2014, Sakshi Maharaj, who is known for his controversial statements, won Unnao with a margin of over 3 lakh votes. SP's Arun Shankar came second.
