UP man agrees to eat 50 eggs for Rs 2,000; dies of overeating

Jaunpur: A man from Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh took up a challenge for Rs 2,000 that cost him his life. Subhash Yadav, 42, accepted the challenge of eating 50 eggs for Rs 2,000 but died when he got to the 42nd egg, police said on Monday. 

Subhash Yadav and his friend had gone to the Bibiganj market in Jaunpur to eat eggs.

The two friends were in the market when they had an argument. After the argument, Subhash Yadav's friend challenged him to eat 50 eggs. Subhash's friend promised to pay Rs 2,000 to him if he completed the challenge. Subhash accepted the challenge and started eating the eggs. The 42-year-old ate 41 eggs but collapsed when he started eating the 42nd egg. 

Subhash Yadav was taken to the district hospital by the locals. The doctors at the district hospital then referred Subhash Yadav to the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences. Subhash died while undergoing treatment. According to the doctors, over-eating was the reason of Subhash's death but his family refrained from commenting on the incident.  

Karnataka teen risks life after losing in PUBG, swims in a drain 

A similar incident from Karnataka surfaced in September this year where a teenager agreed to swim in a drain after losing a game of PUBG. A video of the incident was also circulated on social media. 

The teenager was playing PUBG with his friends and was confident of winning the game. However, he lost and his friends dared him to swim in the drain. The teenager agreed to the challenge and risked his life. After the incident, several parents in Belagavi staged protests and demanded a ban on the online video game.
