Uttar Pradesh: Man beats woman to death, injures her daughter

AGRA: A woman and her daughter were attacked in their house in Kasganj village, Mainpuri on Monday morning. The 45-year-old woman was allegedly beaten to death and her daughter was severely injured. The suspect Nand Kishore, 27, was arrested by the police.


According to the investigating officials, Nand Kishore was allegedly involved with the deceased woman’s daughter earlier.

However, after he got married two and a half months ago, the 20-year-old stopped talking to him which infuriated him. He reportedly attacked the mother-daughter duo with a sharp-edged iron rod while they were sleeping in their house around 2am. While the mother died on the spot, her daughter is currently undergoing treatment at Safai hospital.

Additional superintendent of police Madhuvan Kumar Singh said that an FIR has been registered under section 307 (attempt to murder) and 302 (murder) of IPC at Ghiror police station. He said further investigations are on.
