Uttarakhand's 5 Lok Sabha seats to go to polls in first phase on April 11

DEHRADUN: The five parliamentary seats of Uttarakhand — Pauri, Tehri, Haridwar, Nainital and Almora — will go to the polls on April 11 as part of the first phase of voting according to the election schedule released by the Election Commission (EC) in New Delhi on Sunday.


Polling in the Himalayan state will be done in one phase only.

As per the revised list of voters (updated by the state election commission till February this year), the state has over 77 lakh voters of which Haridwar has the maximum number (over 18 lakh). There are currently over 88,000 service voters in the state as per the list.
