Vadodara: Halol residents hold rally over caesarean births

Vadodara: Residents of Halol in Panchmahal district brought out a rally on Thursday and submitted a memorandum to the district administration claiming that an abnormally high number of caesarean section operations were being performed by private hospitals in the town.

The residents claimed that a woman’s condition had deteriorated after a caesarean operation at a private hospital in the town last month.

She had to be rushed to Vadodara for treatment where she died.

Activists had dug up data regarding such operations and claimed that these were performed in large numbers in private hospitals.
