[VIDEO] Murder accused sleeps with girlfriend as cops have lunch at Gorakhpur hotel

Gorakhpur: A murder accused was arrested during a police raid in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh on Monday. The accused has been identified as Raghvendra Singh. Raghvendra Singh was allegedly sleeping with his girlfriend in a hotel room when he was nabbed.

The police also arrested three police officials who had been asked to escort the accused.

The cops were allegedly having lunch in another room of the hotel.

Raghvendra Singh had been lodged in the Hardoi Jail for his involvement in a murder case. The Gorakhpur police have said that they will present a detailed report of the incident to senior superintendent of police (SSP), Hardoi. Further action will be taken after the submission of the report.

Criminal wanted in extortion case arrested in Delhi

In September this year, a man accused of being involved in extortion cases was arrested after an encounter. The arrest was made from Delhi's Dwarka area. The accused was identified as Vicky. The 27-year-old was a resident of Najafgarh.

Allegedly, Vicky was also involved in an attempt to murder case. He had also been threatening a Delhi-based businessman and demanding money from him. When the businessman refused to fulfil Vicky's demands, the latter threatened him with firearms.

During the encounter, Vicky was wearing a bulletproof jacket and hence, the police were unable to shoot him. After a long struggle, the police nabbed the 27-year-old by shooting him on his leg. The police also confiscated two pistols and eight rounds of cartridges from the accused.
