[VIDEO] One-year-old girl falls out of moving vehicle in Kerala's Idukki rescued by forest officials

Idukki​: A one-year-old girl fell out of a moving vehicle in Idukki district of Kerala on Sunday night.

In a CCTV footage of the incident that took place in Munnar region, the child can be seen falling from a jeep that was going through the forest. Her parents did not come to know when the child fell out of the vehicle.

They learned about the missing child only after reaching Kambilikandam, a distance of 50 km from the check post point. Subsequently, they filed a complaint with Vellathuval police.

The child was later rescued by forest officials after she crawled to their office. Later, the forest officials handed over the baby to police.

Fortunately, the child fell near the forest check post and the staff on duty were present at the time of the incident. She sustained minor injuries and was handed over to the parents the next day (Monday) after medical treatment.

The child and her family were returning home on Sunday after visiting the Palani temple.

The CCTV visuals on the opposite side of the road captured the jeep moving ahead of the check post.
