The needy understand the plight of the needy and the proof is a video of passengers aboard a special train to Mizoram, giving away their food to victims of floods in Assam, who were seeking shelter near rail tracks.

The video was posted is all over social media and Mizoram's Chief Minister, Zoramthanga, shared it on his Twitter page as well.

It was originally posted on Facebook by Emanuel Ralte with the caption, 'Our Mizo brothers, on their way from Bangalore help victims of Assam floods with little food they had with them'.

Apparently, the passengers were returning to Mizoram after being stranded in Bengaluru due to the pandemic lockdown, and the train in which they were travelling was one of the many special trains arranged by the Indian Railways to send people back to their homes.

In spite of having a limited supply of food, the passengers threw out their food packets to the flood-affected people to help them out. The people were near the tracks since they provided an elevated surface which can keep them safe from the floods.

The video has received a lot of appreciation from people. 'I praised them for their standards of humanity', wrote one user while another commented, 'This is why we love Mizoram. Generosity never goes down, whether it is of religion or of castes, humanity is appreciated'.
