RM (Kim Namjoon) got into rap in 6th grade. He became a famous underground rapper as "Runch Randa" in 2007. Then he joined the rap crew 'Daenamhyup'. Later, through Bang Si Hyuk's intro, RM auditioned for Big Hit Entertainment in 2010, becoming the first BTS member.

Yo, meet Min Yoongi, aka Suga! He rocked as 'Gloss,' the underground hip-hop artist from Daegu. He slayed as a producer, making beats for D TOWN. Auditioned for Big Hit, got 2nd place, but that's all he needed to secure his spot in BTS!

BTS is a total powerhouse, man! They didn't just get singers but also dancers and producers on board. J-Hope was killing it as a full-time dancer, and when he auditioned for Big Hit, he made the big move to Seoul. So dope!

Jin, aka Kim Seokjin, got discovered by a Big Hit rep while leaving a bus. He had an offer from SM Entertainment but ditched it. The rep convinced him to audition, even though he had zero singing or dancing background. But man, he hustled hard and got in!

Jungkook was super inspired by RM and wanted to be just like him. He auditioned for Superstar K in Busan but got eliminated. No worries, though, various smart agency recruiters saw his talent. Big Hit won him over, and he started as a background dancer. Look at him now!

V, aka Kim Tae Hyung, has a classic Rags to Riches story. He came from a family of farmers with very little money, but that didn't stop him from pursuing music. To prove how serious he was, V learned to play the saxophone for three years during school.

Jimin, from Busan, was the star dancer in his school. His teachers encouraged him to pursue a dance career, and he auditioned in Busan, later moving to Seoul. Jimin had some natural talent, which gave him an edge, and that's how he became the final member of BTS.
