Vivekananda murder: Four more in custody

Tirupati: The Special Investigation Team ( SIT ) probing the murder of YS Vivekananda Reddy took four more suspects into custody at Pulivendula and moved them to an undisclosed location in Kadapa for questioning on Tuesday. Those arrested are suspected to be accomplices of Parameswara Reddy.

The SIT team headed by additional DG (CID) Amit Garg which has already questioned and recorded statements of around 20 witnesses in the case, made the key arrest of Parameswara Reddy on Monday night.

Parameswara Reddy, a close aide of the deceased YS Vivekananda Reddy who went underground since the murder, was arrested by the SIT team from a private hospital in Tirupati in the late hours of Monday.

Among those arrested, one Sekhar Reddy is an accused in multiple murder cases registered at various police stations including Pulivendula and Kadapa. Apart from Sekhar Reddy, three othesr , including Sunil Yadav were taken into custody.
