West Bengal: Illegal arms factory busted, huge cache of arms seized in Murshidabad

New Delhi: In a major crackdown, West Bengal police today busted an illegal arms factory at Jibontala’s Moukhalai Khunkhali village in S 24 Parganas. Arrested four suspects and seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition.

Police said two suspects, including the owner of the house Akhbar Sardar and his assistant Amir Sapui were arrested and seized arms and ammunition and explosives.

Police seized three single barrel guns, one airgun, a six-bore revolver, one 7 mm pistol, 10 cartridges and about 4 kgs of gun powder. Besides 6 unfinished pistols, an electric drilling machine and other arms making tools were also recovered.
