Western Command chief visits Patiala military station

CHANDIGARH: Army Commander, Western Command, Lieutenant General R P Singh visited Patiala military station on two-day special tour on September 11-12. It was the first visit of the Army Commander to Patiala station after assuming command. He was received by General Officer Commanding (GOC), 1 Armoured Division.

Lt Gen Singh was briefed on operational and administrative preparedness of the division by the GOC. He was given an inside tour of Patiala military station.

The Army Commander also visited the Kharga Corps Battle School, an integrated training facility being constructed for all arms. Lt Gen Singh wished all ranks and file of the Armoured Division to always keep up the high professional standards as had been the tradition of the Indian Army .
