With 64.8mm rainfall, Hisar has third lowest minimum temperature in July

Hisar: With 64.8 mm rainfall recorded in the last 24 hours, till 8.30am on Wednesday, the minimum temperature in Hisar dropped to 21.1°C on Tuesday night — making it the third coldest day in July since 1974. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) data, minimum temperature in the town was 6°C below the normal while the maximum temperature was recorded at 28.2°C, nine degrees below the normal.



According to the IMD data, minimum temperature in the town was 20.1°C on July 20, 2017. It was the lowest minimum temperature in July in the recorded history of Hisar. The previous lowest minimum temperature in the town was 20.4°C on July 26, 1974.

Minimum temperature of Hisar on Tuesday was even lower than many areas in the hill states of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Jammu’s minimum temperature was recorded at 23.9°C. In Sundernagar, Una and Kangra in HP, it was 21.5°C, 23.7°C and 22.2°C, respectively.
