Woman hangs self at home in Madhya Pradesh

BHOPAL: A 25-year-old married woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging self at her house in Izgiri village in Gunga area on Monday evening. Gunga police acting on information registered a case on Tuesday and started investigations.


Investigation officer SI Ganesh Rao said that deceased Neetu Saharia, 25, hailed from Rajgarh district and was married to Ajay Saharia, a resident of Izgiri village in Gunga, around seven years back.

SI Rao said that Ajay told police that on Monday Neetu was insisting him to take her to her parent’s home in Rajgarh so that she can celebrate Raksha Bandhan festival with them and tie Rakhi to her brothers but he denied as there was no conveyance available due to lockdown.

Later, when Saharia returned home from work, he found that Neetu had locked herself in her room and hanged herself.
