Woman with 3-month foetus alleges rape by two Etah SIs

Agra: In a shocking incident, a woman with three-month pregnancy had alleged that she was raped and filmed on several occasions by two sub-inspectors of Etah police.

The 27-year-old woman, a resident of Awagadh police jurisdiction, met Sanjay Kumar, additional superintendent of police, Etah on Wednesday, along with her husband.

In her written complaint, the woman stated, “In her husband’s absence, two sub-inspectors of Etah police raped her on several occasions and filmed the act. The cops threatened her to kill her husband and shared the video of the sexual assault in public domain to humiliate her.”

The woman further alleged, “A non-bailable warrant was issued by district court of Etah against my husband in a dispute between our neighbours. In order to settle the dispute with monetary compensation, my husband left for Delhi to earn money. Taking advantage of his absence, the two cops constantly raided our homes and harassed me. They forced themselves on me and recorded the sexual assault act.”

“After my husband’s return from Delhi, I narrated the ordeal as I’m now three months pregnant due to the sexual assault. The cops continued to threaten us with dire consequences,” she added.

Speaking to TOI, ASP Sanjay Kumar said, “The woman’s allegations are of serious nature. I have asked the CO Jalesar to probe into the matter and submit a report in the next two days. Strict action will be taken against the cops, if found guilty.”
