16.52 lakh voters eligible to vote in Anand

Vadodara/ Anand: As the model code of conduct has come into effect , the district administration in Anand has issued orders to remove all banners and hoardings within 24 hours starting from Sunday.

A total of 16,52,739 voters are eligible to exercise their voting right in Anand Lok Sabha seat which comprises of seven assembly constituencies including Khambhat, Borsad, Anklav, Umreth, Anand, Petlad and Sojitra.



“For ensuring free and fair elections, teams for video surveillance, viewing teams, accounting team, flying squads, static surveillance teams have been formed,” said Anand district election officer and collector Dilip Rana, adding that voters will be able to exercise their voting right at 1,846 polling stations in the district.

Of the total voters, 8,54,025 are male while 7,98,592 are female voters. A total of 122 voters are listed in third gender.

Of the total electoral in Anand district, the maximum number of voters are in Anand assembly constituency at 2.92 lakh while the least number of voters are in Sojitra assembly constituency where 2.06 lakh have been registered as voters.
