NEW DELHI: In a heart-stopping display of boundary-hitting, Delhi Capitals ' Tristan Stubbs went bonkers against Luke Wood in the clash against Mumbai Indians on Saturday.

As boundaries rained at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in the national capital, Stubbs smoked Wood for 26 runs in the 18th over. Hitting the MI bowler to all corners of the park, Stubbs smashed 5 fours and a six.

Stubbs began Wood's over with a scoop over wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan on the leg side. He then repeated the same shot off the second ball, executing another scoop to fine-leg.

Stubbs then targeted the other side of the ground, hitting a couple of reverse-scoops over the short-third fielder off yorker-length deliveries.

In his first attempt, Stubbs middled the ball to perfection as it dropped over the fence for a six while the fourth ball was another low full-toss outside off-stump, which the DC batsman connected with another perfect reverse-scoop for a four.

Having already leaked 18 off the first four balls, on the penultimate ball, Wood tried a slower bouncer which Stubbs read early as he belted it to deep mid-wicket fence.

The final ball of the over was another slower off-cutter around the off-stump from Wood as Stubbs once again dispatched it to the deep mid-wicket fence.

Stubbs ended up scoring an unbeaten 25-ball 48 powering DC to their highest IPL score ever of 257 for 4.

Earlier, bringing his big-hitting prowess to the fore, young Jake Fraser-McGurk gave the scorching Delhi heat competition with a sizzling 27-ball 84.

Opening for DC for the second time this season, the 22-year-old Fraser-McGurk equalled his own record for the fastest fifty this season getting the milestone off just 15 balls after the hosts were put in to bat by MI.
