Aamir Khan to begin 'Sitaare Zameen Par' shoot in Delhi from next month

In recent months, there has been significant excitement surrounding Aamir Khan 's next project, ' Sitaare Zameen Par '. Following the success of 'Taare Zameen Par' in 2007, fans have eagerly awaited the sequel, marking a gap of 16 years. Now, reports indicate that filming for the sequel is set to begin soon, with the first schedule planned in Delhi.


A source informed Hindustan Times that Aamir Khan will fly down to Delhi next month for Sitare Zameen Par’s shoot. He will come to the capital with around 11 children for the shoot of this film. There will also be other star cast members too, whose details are not out yet. The schedule is set for one month, between May-June. The children will indulge in various Paralympic Games for the shoot. The source also said that the film will be shot at different spots in Delhi, including Lal Qila, Lodhi Garden, Purani Dilli, and Tyagraj stadium. It is being shot in various parts of Delhi, as they don’t want all the kids to travel to NCR regions.

Earlier, speaking with TV9 Aamir confirmed that his next film as a lead actor, which has just begun filming, is 'Sitaare Zameen Par'. They are trying to release it by the end of this year, on the occasion of Christmas . In 'Sitaare Zameen Par', Genelia Deshmukh takes on the lead role alongside Aamir Khan. This film marks their first onscreen collaboration.

'Sitaare Zameen Par' will mark Aamir's return to Christmas releases after an eight-year break, with his last Christmas release being the hit 'Dangal' in 2016.
