Indian batter Abhishek Sharma has raced to 2,500 runs in T20 cricket.

The young Sunrisers Hyderabad opener unlocked this achievement in Match 50 of IPL 2024 against Rajasthan Royals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Thursday.

Abhishek has been a force to reckon with in the ongoing IPL season.

Versus RR, he fell cheaply though, scoring 12 runs from 10 balls.

Abhishek completed 2,500 T20 runs in his 98th encounter. He reached this feat with his 10th run. He owns 2,502 runs at 29.78.

The left-handed batter averages 29.78 and has a strike rate of more than 150 in the shortest format (151.36).

Notably, Abhishek started his career as a spin-bowling all-rounder. The left-arm spinner owns 30 wickets in T20 cricket.
