After Tomato, now Pakistan to crave for this special product as Indian farmers to stop supply

After the Pulwama attack, the Indian government withdrew the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status from Pakistan. Following which supply of tomatoes to Pakistan was blocked. From farmers to businessman, all are criticizing the terror attack in which over 40 CRPF personnel were killed by Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad.

In this episode, Pan farmers of Chhattarpur district of Madhya Pradesh have taken a pledge not to send paan to Pakistan.

Now after tomatoes, Pan farmers of Chhatrapur district of Madhya Pradesh have decided to not supply paan to Pakistan. It is being reported that there is a good yield of paan in the districts of Garhimalala, Maharajpur, Pipat, Panagar and Mahoba in Chhattarpur district. From these places, the pan is supplied in many cities of India. Apart from this, it is also supplied to Pakistan, Sri Lanka and other countries.

Pan farmers say that ‘We are hurt by the Pulwama terror attack. The terrorists have shed the blood of our soldiers, we will not sell Pan Pakistan, even if we do not have to suffer.”

Notably, Chhatrapur's Pan is sent to Meerut and Shaharangpur to Pakistan. Every week, 45 to 50 bundles are sent to Pakistan for three days. The price of a bundle of paan is 30 thousand rupees.
