Alappuzha: A 25-year-old Swedish tourist was attacked by a stray dog on Alappuzha beach on Monday.
The tourist was identified as Saira from Sweden. She was attacked by a dog when she was walking on the beach.
She was taken to Alappuzha General Hospital from the beach by residents at 9am. They had informed the Pink Police patrolling team.
The Pink Police team reached Alappuzha general hospital and took Saira to Alappuzha Medical College Hospital after she was given first aid. She suffered injuries on both legs. She was given anti-rabies injection from the MCH and she was released from the hospital at 11am.
The police said that she had reached Kerala three days ago and was travelling alone. She is an accountant by profession and will leave for Varkala from Alappuzha on Tuesday, the police said.
