Alwar minor gangrape: Victim's family lynches minor accused

Jaipur: The family of a minor girl, who was gangraped by three boys in Alwar on May 14, has allegedly lynched one of the minor accused. The victim was gangraped when she had gone to attend a relative's marriage.  

"While one of the accused managed to flee, the other two were caught by the victims' family members and thrashed the next morning.Few hours later, one of them was found dead on the roadside," a

PTI report quoted Alwar SP, Paris Anil Deshmukh, as saying.

According to the report, the families of the victim and the accused have filed separate FIRs.The gangrape victim's mother has filed a case against three minor accused. While, the family of the deceased boy has filed a murder case against the girl's family.

"Both the accused in the rape case were detained on Friday and they were sent to a juvenile home by a court till May 29, the Investigating Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police (Behror), Ramjilal, said,

Earlier, two other minor girls were raped in Dholpur and Churu. A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her relative in Churu.

The PTI report said the girl had gone to fetch water when the 14-year old accused took her to an isolated place and committed the crime on Friday. The accused has been detained," said SHO of Bhanipura Police Station Malkiyat Singh.

In another incident, an eight-year-old girl was raped Dholpur on Thursday when she was staying at her maternal grandfather's home. The accused, who has been identified as 18-year-old Pravesh, has been arrested.

Recently, Rajasthan police filed a chargesheet against six men accused of gang-raping a woman in front of her husband along the Thanagazi-Alwar highway in the state on April 26. The gangrape had sparked outrage across the country. The state government was widely criticized for lack of action in the case.
