Edited

Alwar: Bhiwadi police on Sunday arrested the two accused in the alleged gang-rape of a 11-year-old girl who was sexually assaulted on Saturday night. The accused have been identified as Shahid (30) and Sorab (45). They were produced in court on Monday and sent to 15-day judicial custody.

The two accused allegedly abducted the girl from her house when she was asleep and took her to an isolated spot where they took turns to sexually assault her.

Police claimed that the two accused panicked when they saw the deteriorating condition of the girl and fled. She walked back to her house and the parents registered a case of kidnapping and rape. The medical examination of the rape survivor was done on Sunday.

Investigating officer Devendra Singh, deputy superintendent of police (DSP), Bhiwadi said, “The girl was in her maternal grandparent’s house. On Saturday night she was asleep in the kitchen while her brother along with his wife was in the other room. The two accused entered the house and abducted her. They took to the hillocks where they took turns to rape her and fled leaving her in a bloodied state. She somehow managed to walk back to her and even took off her anklets so that the sound doesn’t alert the accused who might try to follow her. After reaching home, she informed her family who immediately registered a complaint with us.” A case under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act 2012 has been registered.
