Amara Raja sets up EV battery charging stations in Tirupati

The Amara Raja Group also claims that the launch of e-autos and EV charging, swapping station is a technological demonstration of the company's capabilities and commitment in the e-mobility segment. New Delhi: Amara Raja has set up a battery charging and swapping stations in Tirupati to promote e-mobility in the city that is thriving to become a smart city.


In a release, the company has claimed this move will promote the fleet of electric autos in the city.

The initiative has been taken in collaboration with Tirupati Municipal Corporation, as part of the ts smart city program.

The Amara Raja Group also claims that the launch of e-autos and EV charging, swapping station is a technological demonstration of the company's capabilities and commitment in the e-mobility segment.

It says that the lithium-ion battery packs and EV battery charging, swapping stations are designed and developed in the state-of-the-art R&D facilities of Amara Raja. It has recently added a lithium-ion battery pack manufacturing facility of 500MWH capacity at its Tirupati manufacturing unit.

Commenting on this occasion, Ramachandra N Galla, Chairman, Amara Raja Group, said, "Amara Raja is committed to taking part in the Government’s initiatives to drive green mobility in the country. Amara Raja is closely watching trends and emerging business opportunities in the arena of electric mobility and has taken concrete steps towards enhancing its R&D capabilities, so as to develop battery packs for electric mobility and EV charging stations."
