Amruta said, "I think our fans are our extended family. Kuch logo ko aap pasand ho, kuch logo ko aap pasand nahi ho. Until and unless they come into your personal life, tab-tak, it's okay. Jab tak, they talk about my work and what I share on Instagram; it's fine. Sometimes they like it, and sometimes they don't. But when they start trolling me and my family or me and Himanshu, that's an issue. I don't post a lot about them because I want to safeguard them. For me, safeguarding them is more important than me being out there because they don't come from this industry; they don't deserve to be treated with shame or hatred, which can hurt them. I always took care of this, and I always will take care of this."

She further added, "I have been trolled for not putting a lot of pictures of me and Himangshu on social media. But I see my parents, who have been in a healthy, happy married life for 45 years, they don't have a single picture of them on their Facebook or Instagram. I want to do that. I'm old-school. Main aur Himanshu ek dusre ko tabse jante hai jab Instagram tha hi nahi..hum 2004 se ekdusre ko jante hai, tab humlog camera mein photo lete the. We want to safeguard each other and each other's identities and respect that. A lot of my social media is about my work and what I do."

Amruta also opened up about whether she ever felt a lack of representation in the industry as a regional actress and said, "All the lines or regions are blurry. Today, so many regional actors, actresses, and directors are doing so well. Today is all about talent. Aap konsi disha choose karte ho that matters. Sometimes you win, and sometimes you learn a lesson. Mujhe nahi lagta representation mein koi dikkat hai."

On the work front, Amruta is currently riding on the success of her new Disney+Hotstar web series, Lootere.
