Arms dealer held with three pistols, live cartridges

RAJKOT: An alleged arms dealer was arrested when he came to Rajkot to deliver three country-made pistols and 10 cartridges on Thursday morning.

The accused was identified as Vipul Bharwad (25).

“During his interrogation, Bharwad said he had come to give the delivery of the arms and ammunition to Chhagan Bhuria and Karsan Rangpara.

He had procured the firearms and bullets from one Jitendrasinh of Jhabua in Madhya Pradesh ,” said Hitesh Gadhvi, inspector of Rajkot detection of crime branch, adding that the pistols and cartridges had been seized.
