Asda is selling £5 roleplay set – and dirty-minded shoppers are making same joke

Shoppers have been left in stitches over a 'saucy' roleplay set found in Asda, priced at just a fiver.

The supermarket giant has rolled back the price by £2, offering a bargain for those looking to impersonate an Asda employee. It's complete with 30 accessories including a name badge and a deli counter worker's hat.

Social media users have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to share their amusement, with one posting a picture of the item and quipping: "Anyone up for a bit of roleplay?"

Responses ranged from humorous Valentine's Day plans to playful disappointment, with comments such as, "Valentine's Day sorted," and "Husband was expecting French Maid what he actually got was Asda Deli Girl, his disappointment was palpable."

Others joined in the fun, with remarks such as "Love it when she screams 'stock my shelves big boy!'" One even suggested a cheeky tagline for the product: "Price me up, like the dirty little special offer that I am!"

The conversation also turned to the state of employment in the UK, with jokes about being laid off and zero-hour contracts.

One user said: "It ends with you being laid off. (As a former ASDA employee, trust me)," while another added: "Complete with a free unpaid internship."

And a third chimed in with: "Is there a zero hour contract in there as well?" reports Daily Star.

And another shopper fumed: "Should have a rail of them by the selfscan tills seeing as we're doing the work of the Asda employees. All because the machines costs less than the wage of the 10 till workers they replaced."
