Astrology expert shares star sign which are 'biggest love rats' - as they'll 'get bored and move on'

If you're currently chucking your hat in the dating pool, then you may well want to consult an astrology chart before making any serious commitments.

Many of us will have encountered a certain type of heartbreaker at one point or another - the sort who can shatter trust seemingly without much guilt or remorse.

In vain, the singletons of the world have sought to understand these rogues - or better yet avoid them altogether - but as we know, such individuals often ooze charm just as easily as they break promises.

How then can we ensure the person sitting opposite us on a Bumble date will show the same adoring attentions months, and years down the line? One astrology expert believes the answer lies in the stars, with one zodiac sign in particular known to seek 'instant gratification' due to a childlike propensity for boredom.

Sadly, this trait apparently also extends to the bedroom, meaning they could be more likely to stray should someone else catch their eye...

In a new study, Illicit Encounters, a dating site for married people, asked 2,000 of its UK members what their star sign was, and whether they'd cheated on their partner.

Brits born under the astrological star sign of Aries were found to be the biggest love rats of the zodiac, with one in five people who've cheated - 21 per cent - born under the sign of the ram - a symbol associated with self-determination and selfish tendencies.

According to astrologists, easily bored Aries folk tend to keep their childlike need for instant gratification long into adulthood. This, mixed with a competitive streak in the bedroom, makes for a potent cocktail when it comes to staying faithful.

Aries people in the age bracket 40 to 49 were found to be the worst offenders, with 40 per cent having cheated followed by 31 per cent of those aged 30 to 39. Just 16 per cent in the 50 to 59 bracket had strayed, compared to eight per cent of 25 to 29-year-olds and five per cent of over 60s.

As per the Daily Star, astrologist Pauline Gerosa, of the London-based Faculty of Astrological Studies, said: "With Aries what you see is what you get. They get bored easily and if they get bored with sex they are likely to move on. They are very much motivated by what they want, like a child, and will want instant gratification so much so that they will not see the potential consequences as clearly as some people.

"They are also very competitive and if they start to feel they should have more notches on their bedpost they will respond to that urge. They are not cruel but a certain level of empathy may be lacking sometimes meaning there is a 'me first tendency' which could throw them into cheating more easily."

Illicit Encounters spokesperson and relationship guru Jessica Leoni added: "Impulsive Aries are the daredevils of the zodiac. With their boundless energy and penchant for excitement, they are always chasing after the next thrill making them more likely to be led straight into the arms of temptation."
