Baahubali Universe expands with animated prequel, WATCH the trailer

New Delhi: In a thrilling announcement, Disney+ Hotstar unveiled its latest venture, "Baahubali: Crown of Blood", an animated prequel to the beloved Baahubali film franchise.
 

Set to premiere exclusively on May 17, the captivating saga promises to unravel untold tales from the epic Baahubali universe.

 

The brainchild of visionary filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli and acclaimed producer Sharad Devarajan, "Baahubali: Crown of Blood" dives deep into the mythic realm of Mahishmati, exploring the gripping narrative of brothers-turned-rivals, Baahubali and Bhallaladeva.
 

Joined in a quest to safeguard their kingdom against the enigmatic warlord, Raktadeva, this animated series ventures into uncharted territories of adventure, brotherhood, betrayal, and heroism.

 

Gaurav Banerjee, Head of Content at Disney+ Hotstar and HSM Entertainment Network, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, highlighting the platform's commitment to enriching storytelling through animation. He emphasised the significance of "Baahubali: Crown of Blood" in captivating audiences and elevating the animation genre for adult viewers.

 

Creator and producer S.S. Rajamouli shared his excitement about expanding the Baahubali universe, emphasising the vast potential for exploration beyond the film franchise. He teased the revelation of unknown twists in the lives of Baahubali and Bhallaladeva, promising a fresh perspective through the animated format.

 

Sharad Devarajan, co-creator and producer, hailed Rajamouli as a master storyteller, underscoring the groundbreaking nature of the Baahubali films in Indian entertainment. He lauded the collaboration with Disney+ Hotstar and Graphic India, highlighting their shared vision of bringing captivating narratives to life.

 

Rana Dagubatti, known for his portrayal of Bhallaladeva, expressed his excitement about witnessing the legacy of Baahubali continue through animated storytelling.
