Ballia armyman martyred in Leh

VARANASI: Havildar Satyedeo Mishra of Basanatpur village of Ballia was martyred in Leh of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday. He was posted in Artillery core of the army. The details of his martyrdom are awaited.


He is survived by his wife and two siblings - a 17-year-old daughter and 15-year-old son. As the news of his death reached his village, a pall of gloom descended.

His body is expected to reach the village by late Tuesday night.

Mishra was posted in Leh area of the state for the past three years and was excepting his transfer next month. Joining the army in 1997, Mishra came from the family of Armymen.
