Bardhaman BJP Candidate Attacked While Visiting Booth
Kalna: BJP candidate of Bardhaman East Lok Sabha constituency Paresh Chandra Das was attacked on Monday afternoon when he visited the polling station. BJP blamed TMC for this incident.
Apart from vandalizing the candidate’s car, he has also been attacked physically. The BJP has filed a complaint at the district administration by handing over the incident.
According to BJP sources, after getting news of Chappa vote, BJP candidate Paresh Chandra das visited the 9/17 number booth of Mahismardini Girls High School on Monday noon. After reaching out to the booth, he attacked by the TMC miscreants. His car was vandalized. He was also physically persecuted. Threat is given to him to leave the area.
Local sources said, the situation in the area became hot due to the incident. The general people became frightened and afraid. However, the security forces came and tackle the situation. The attack was led by TMC leader Devprasad Bagh alias Paltu Bagh, who was the leader of the local Trinamool Congress and Kalna municipality.
After this incident, the BJP filed a complaint to the administration. Although the Paltu Bag said that the BJP candidate who entered the polling booth with BJP flag. He was trying to influence the voters. Then we protested.
Denying the attack, Paltu Bag said that this incident is not related to grassroots, it is the result of the BJP’s factional feud.
