'Be A Loser': Bengaluru Doctor's Reply To Woman Who Slammed Non-Smokers Goes Viral

Bengaluru: A doctor's response to a troll on X has garnered support from other users of the microblogging platform. The medical professional reacted to a troll who labelled non-smokers as "losers." In the response, the doctor shared an example about a young patient and the detrimental effects of smoking on her health.


An X user wrote, “Hey smokers and losers (non-smokers) wyd?” while posting a picture of an individual holding a cigarette and a cup of tea.



Responding to the incident, Dr. Deepak Krishnamurthy, whose X bio identifies him as the Head of the Department for Interventional Cardiology at Kauvery Hospital in Marathahalli, Bengaluru, shared the case of a 23-year-old who underwent triple bypass surgery. ''The youngest patient I've sent for a triple bypass surgery was a 23y old girl smoker. #HeartAttack #MedTwitter. Be a loser (as per this lady) and live healthy, '' his post read.

In his responses to queries from X users, he mentioned that the patient he referred to had likely been smoking since the age of 12 or 13.

A third user wrote, ''Tag your parents and let them judge if you are a loser or not. Quit it before life quits on you,'' in the comment.
