BJP announces 13 candidates for Kerala, Pathanamthitta in abeyance

Thiruvananthapuram | The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released first list of candidates for Lok sabha polls in Kerala barring one seat. Of the 20 seats the party had allotted six seats to ally partner BDJS and others and candidates for 13 out of the remaining 14 seats were announced in Delhi Thursday evening. 
Candidate for Pathanamthitta seat, where the Sabarimala temple issue is at prime focus will be announced later.

The majaor names doing the rounds for Pathanamthitta seat are of state general secretary K Surendran and state president P S Sreedharan Pillai. The constituency is one among a few seats where the party foresees winning possibilities.
Kummanam Rajashekaran, senior BJP leader and former governor of Mizoram, as expected has bagged a ticket to contest from the Thiruvananthapuram constituency. Contesting from the Ernakulam Lok Sabha constituency is Alphonse Kannanthanam, who is currently serving as the Union Minister of State for Culture and Tourism. 
Other candidates are Raveesh Thantri Kuntar from Kasaragod, CK Padmanabhan from Kannur, VK Sajeevan from Vadakara, Advocate KP Prakash Babu from Kozhikode, Unnikrishnan Master from Malappuram, VT Rema from Ponnani, C Krishnakumar from Palakkad, AN Radhakrishnan from Chalakudy, KS Radhakrishnan from Alappuzha, KV Sabu from Kollam and Sobha Surendran from Attingal.
