BJP removes Joshi from charge of Ujjain unit

Bhopal: The state BJP on Monday removed its organisational general secretary of Ujjain division, Pradip Joshi with immediate effect. Though the BJP state leadership confirmed the decision, they did not disclose the details officially.

"We have taken a decision. Will give details later", state organisational general secretary, Suhas Bhagat told TOI.

Bhagat was looking into the affairs related to Ujjain division after complaints received from the party workers against Joshi.

Sources disclosed that Joshi was managing party affairs in Ujjain division for the last few months. He had been under party scanner since over a year after reports of his controversial video with a woman had gone viral in the social media. Recently, he had been involved in an obscene chat with a party worker. After reports of an audio clip went viral on social media, he was sacked with immediate effect, said sources in BJP.

Earlier, Joshi was appointed as party in-charge of Gwalior, but he was transferred to Ujjain due to unexplained reasons, said sources.
