Cell phones, charger found inside Ajmer jail

Ajmer: Three mobile phones and a charger were recovered from the high security Ajmer jail on Saturday night.

The jail administration on Sunday registered a case in Civil Lines police station against three prisoners.

According to police, jail guard Bhupender Singh on Saturday late night went inside ward 3 of block 4 of the jail where he found mobile phones in the possession of Deepak Malik, Sanjay Meena and Sunil.

Singh reported the matter to jail administration and on Sunday FIR was registered in police station.

Sources said that the jail has five-tier security measures and hence this episode has irked the officials. Sources added that this is not the first incident when phones have been found inside a jail.
