Chhattisgarh: Woman raped, blackmailed by perpetrator, his mother
Baloda Bazar (Chhattisgarh) [India], Sept 18 (ANI): Just a few miles away from the capital, an incident of rape of a 20-year-old woman was reported here on Wednesday.
The case has been registered in Simga Police Station whose officer-in-charge C R Chandra informed ANI, "Manish Barle, a resident of Champa, implicated the girl in a love-trap and called her for a visit to his home where he spiked the victim's drink and raped her.
The mother of the accused was also involved in the crime as she filmed the entire incident and blackmailed the victim in lieu of the objectionable video."
"The accused took a total of eight lakhs rupees by blackmailing the victim of leaking the said video. Both the accused and his mother are under arrest", the officer further added.
The girl's father had sold a piece of land on Pendra Road some time ago for six lakhs rupees. The incident came to notice when he demanded the same money, which was kept with the victim, the officer said.
"The accused took a total of eight lakhs rupees by blackmailing the victim of leaking the said video. Both the accused and his mother are under arrest", the officer further added.
The girl's father had sold a piece of land on Pendra Road some time ago for six lakhs rupees. The incident came to notice when he demanded the same money, which was kept with the victim, the officer said.
On being questioned about the missing amount, the girl narrated the entire incident to her father.
Subsequently, an FIR was lodged when the matter was reported to the police which led to the arrest of the accused. (ANI)
