Child trafficking: 3 more arrested, 2 infants rescued

Mumbai: The city crime branch on Monday arrested three more persons in connection with the child trafficking case, taking the number of arrested persons to 10, and rescued two more infants — a girl and a boy. The arrested accused were identified as Rina, Swati and Poonam.

On Sunday, crime branch unit 2 had busted the inter-state child trafficking gang, with the arrest of seven people, including a doctor.

The accused, mostly women, worked as agents in two Thane fertility clinics. Then, police had rescued two babies. tnn
