Chitrakoot twin murder accused ends life in Satna jail

JHANSI: One of the accused in sensational abduction and murder of twin sons of an ayurvedic oil merchant in Chitrakoot, committed suicide on Tuesday. He was found hanging in Satna district jail where all the six accused involved in the murder are presently lodged.

Confirming the news, SP Satna, Riaz Iqbal said, “The under-trial Ramkesh Yadav hanged himself with a ‘gamcha’ inside the temple situated in the jail premises.

A judicial enquiry has been ordered in the case”.

IT may be mentioned that Ramkesh Yadav, along with other five persons, had abducted six-year-old twins from the school campus and later murdered them. Ramkesh, who was in his early twenties, originally hailed from Banda, but later settled in Chitrakoot. He used to give tuition to the victims.

It was Ramkesh, who had hatched the plan to abduct the twins for which he had roped in his nephew and four other friends, who were engineering or science undergraduate students of Gramoday College in Chitrakoot.

On February 12, two masked men had kidnapped six-year-old Priyansh and Shreyansh from the school bus inside the campus of Sadguru Public School in Nayagaon falling in MP part of Chitrakoot.

After twelve days of chase by the STF of both the states, they could only recover the dead bodies strapped with a heavy stone floating in Yamuna in Muskara area of Banda along with the ransom amount which had been handed over to the abductors.

Father of the victims, Brijesh Rawat, who has oil business, said police is yet to arrest one more person from Karbi from whom the accused had bought the pistol which was used in the abduction.

Reacting to the news of Ramkesh committing suicide, Brijesh Rawat said, “This in nothing but a wrath of God. The heinous crime they had committed just for soke money has left our entire family shattered”.
