CID PSI caught taking 40,000 bribe

Ahmedabad: Anti-Corruption Bureau ( ACB ) sleuths on Friday caught a sub-inspector of CID (Crime) accepting a bribe of Rs 40,000 at Sector 11 in Gandhinagar.

According to the ACB officials, a Surat resident was booked by CID (Crime) and his cellphone, laptop and computer were seized.

The accused cop, identified as Jagdish Chavda, demanded Rs 50,000 from him to return his gadgets.

The man first gave him Rs 10,000 and later approached the ACB which laid a trap and caught the sub-inspector red-handed.tnn
