CM announces 2L for family of trader killed in Shopian

Bathinda: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh for the family of the Abohar apple trader killed in Shopian terrorist attack on Wednesday.

Chief Minister has also directed the Fazilka Deputy Commissioner (DC) to attend the cremation of the deceased, Charanjit Singh, at his native village on Friday morning. Charanjit’s mortal remains were flown to Amritsar today and transported from there to his village. Meanwhile Rs 1 lakh has been announced for the injured Sanjeev of Abohar, who was injured in the attack and is undergoing a treatment in Sringar.
