CM Mohan Yadav inaugurates free medical treatment scheme for senior citizens

BHOPAL: Chief minister Mohan Yadav and BJP state president Vishnu Dutt Sharma inaugurated the free medical treatment scheme for elderly persons above the age of 70 years by getting the forms filled by some elderly persons in Bhopal.

Chief minister got the forms filled by some elderly persons in Shastri Nagar while Sharma visited Ankur Complex in Shivaji Nagar to get the forms filled by residents in the colony, who are above 70 years of age.


Speaking on the occasion, Yadav said that the extension of Ayushman scheme to all the elderly persons of above 70 years is an attempt by the Prime Minister to ensure health facilities who need it the most. The scheme of free treatment to people of 70 years or above to all persons irrespective of income, caste or religion will benefit 40 lakh people in the country.

Sharma said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given guarantee of free treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh to all the elderly persons of above 70 years. They will start getting the benefits of the scheme once Narendra Modi is elected the Prime Minister in the Lok Sabha election.
