Cyclone Fani high alert announced in Vizianagaram

Cyclone Fani is likely to intensify further and may turn into a severe storm. Andhra Pradesh and neighboring states have been alerted to be ready to meet any eventuality due to the impact of this cyclone. The cyclone is likely to hit the Odisha coast tomorrow afternoon and may also have an effect in Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts of Andhra Pradesh.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Coast Guards, shipping and telecom departments have been urged to be ready to meet the situation.
