Dahyun of TWICE in discussions for her debut acting role on the big screen

TWICE member Dahyun is set to make her acting debut in the upcoming independent film 'Speed', directed by Lee Seung Hoon . This marks her first foray into acting since her debut and also the first time a TWICE member will step into the acting field.

'Speed', also known as ' Sprint ', falls within the sports/drama genre, promising a heartwarming narrative about individuals striving to achieve their dreams against all odds.
The film follows the story of Kang Goo Young, played by Ha Seok Jin , who made history by breaking Korea's 100-meter track record but now faces the challenges of dwindling passion and regrets in his later years. Dahyun's role has yet to be disclosed, but her involvement in this project signifies an exciting new chapter for her career beyond music.

JYP Entertainment has confirmed Dahyun's participation in the film, and she is currently preparing for her role. More About Dahyun
Kim Da-hyun, also known as Dahyun, is a South Korean singer and rapper, notably recognized as a member of the girl group Twice, formed by JYP Entertainment in 2015.

Dahyun first caught attention during sixth grade with a performance of the "eagle dance" at her church, which was later shared on YouTube. Recognizing her talent, Dahyun was scouted by JYP Entertainment at a dance festival and subsequently trained with them for over three years.

In 2015, Dahyun participated in Sixteen, a reality TV show aimed at forming JYP Entertainment's new girl group. After successfully competing against other contestants, Dahyun secured a spot as one of the nine members chosen to debut with Twice. In October of the same year, Dahyun officially debuted with Twice through their extended play (EP), The Story Begins, featuring the lead single "Like Ooh-Ahh".
