DCM Shriram commissions Caustic Soda production of its 850 TPD project in Bharuch

AHMEDABAD: DCM Shriram Limited on Saturday announced the commissioning of its Caustic Soda Expansion Project , adding 850 tonne per day (TPD) to its chemical complex in Jhagadia in Bharuch district here. The company’s total caustic soda manufacturing now stands at 2,255 TPD.

The company’s Bharuch Chemical Complex is the single largest caustic soda facility in the country.

“We are the second largest caustic soda producer in the country and are bullish on the long term sustainable growth and profitability of our chlor-alkali business segment given its strong correlation with the GDP growth of the country. We are also in the advanced stages of commissioning hydrogen peroxide & epichlorohydrin projects at this location which will augment the business growth and will contribute to healthy performance,” the company said in a statement.
