Distt admin Rajouri hosts public outreach camp

The district administration Rajouri today hosted a public outreach camp here at Thanamandi tehsil  and listened to the issues of locals.District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, who chaired the outreach camp, took stock of public issues besides assessing the status of various development works being done in the area.

The camp witnessed overwhelming public response as people in large number throng the venue to project issues concerning welfare and development of their respective areas.The camp witnessed the participation of individuals and delegations from Shadra Sharief, Rajdhani, Shurung, Upper Manayal, Lower Manayal, Upper Pangai, Lower Pangai, Darra Mangota, Halal, Mehjoor, Bagla, Tuta Mohra, Bharatpuri, Dhakian, Hasplote and adjoining areas.The issues raised by the Sarpanchs, Panchs and locals included augmentation of power supply, better medicare, adequate water supply, improvement in road connectivity, school up gradation, restoration of damaged roads, sanctioning of a filtration plant and electricity poles, PHC at tehsil headquarter, replacement of old worn out pipes, upgradation of PHC  to CHC at Thanamandi, up gradation of existing drains and construction of new drains, compensation for loss of crops during incessant rains, SBM and MGNREGA payments, sanctioning of  Veterinary centre and an ambulance for village Pangai, upgradation of health sub centre at Manayal, repair of 5km road at Lower Pangai, repairing of road from Rajouri to Deragali, construction of road from Bustand to Shadra Sharief etc.The DDC assured the public that all their issues would be looked into for redressal in a time bound manner.The DDC asked the department of agriculture to organise an awareness camp in Thanamandi in the next week to make the people aware about PM Maan Dhan Yojana so that all eligible are enrolled under the scheme.Meanwhile, the DDC laid foundation stone for construction of Revenue complex at Thanamandi which will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.
3.36 crore.
