EC list out, 33 lakh voters to cast ballot
Jaipur: The state Election Commission (EC) has released the final list of voters for the civic elections.
About 33 lakh voters are eligible to exercise their franchise in the state.
According to the list, there are 17,012,92 male voters and 15,97,998 female voters, while 47 are transgenders.
Polling will be held in 2,105 wards of 49 municipal bodies at 3,479 polling stations.
Nasirabad municipality in Ajmer has the lowest number of voters. Only 957 voters will elect the municipal chairman. Nasirabad in Ajmer district was recently made a municipality with 20 wards.
Bikaner Municipal Corporation is the biggest one with 4,41,294 voters.
The civic elections in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota Municipal Corporations have been postponed due to bifurcation.
Therefore, the elections to be held for 49 municipal bodies instead of 52.
