Engineer kidnapped from home in Jaunpur

VARANASI: A junior engineer of PWD was abducted from his house by some miscreants in Linebazar area of Jaunpur district on Thursday. The police have launched a manhunt to trace the kidnappers and rescue the engineer.


According to reports, JE Pankaj Yadav had gone to his residence for lunch when miscreants broke into his house and forcibly took him away in an SUV.

His family members immediately informed the police. His phone was found switched off after the abduction. According to his kin, he was recently threatened by some Ghazipur-based contractor over some issue. Circle officer Jaunpur Nripendra Kumar told TOI over phone that raids were being conducted to nab the captors and rescue the engineer.
