Final Destination Bloodlines SHATTERS Expectations! Warner Bros' Horror-Fantasy Grabs Rs 61 Crore in India

Final Destination: Bloodlines, the newest in the popular horror-fantasy franchise, is wrapping up its run in Indian cinemas on a high note. Withstanding tough competition from Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, the movie has done an impressive business of Rs 60.50 crore net and Rs 74 crore gross in India. Worldwide, the movie is likely to finish on a whopping USD 285 million, close to doubling its breakeven point of USD 150 million.
Modest Beginning, Humongous Expansion
The film did a moderate start in India with Rs 4.35 crore net on opening Thursday, including late night shows. But it gained momentum over the weekend and carried on with good strength even after the arrival of a high-budgeted rival. The movie crossed Rs 50 crore mark on its 18th day and added another Rs 10 crore net before losing steam.
Franchise’s Most Successful Entry
Bloodlines has thus emerged as the highest-grossing film of the Final Destination franchise. Its record-breaking performance worldwide, both nationally and internationally, is testimony to the lasting popularity of this horror series. The fusion of spine-tingling suspense and retro camp remains a crowd-puller even years later since the franchise was launched.

High-Budget Horror That Paid Off
Horror movies have traditionally run on small budgets based on their limited audience appeal. But Final Destination: Bloodlines came with a production budget of USD 50–60 million and yet turned out to be an enormous hit, proving big-budget horror works when done right.
With solid non-theatrical grosses yet to be recorded, the profitability of the film will increase even more. Final Destination: Bloodlines will release on digital platforms shortly, continuing its path to frighten people across the globe.
