Racing to Success! Brad Pitt's F1 Holds Strong at Indian Box Office, No Drop from Monday to Thursday

Brad Pitt’s adrenaline-fueled racing thriller F1 is turning out to be a box office surprise in India, with incredible consistency throughout its first week. Having registered a good first weekend of ₹20.75 crore, the film continued with high weekday numbers, wrapping up week one with a total of ₹34.50 crore.

Consistent Weekday Performance and IMAX Boost

The movie raked in ₹3.25 crore on Monday, then ₹3.50 crore on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday respectively. The most significant contributor to the performance of F1 has been its hold on IMAX screens, which together contribute almost 30% of the total collections. The movie has maintained most of its premium screen counts for the second week, particularly in metropolitan cities.

Though F1 lost a few non-IMAX showtimes in the face of competition from Jurassic World: Rebirth and Hindi release Metro In Dino, its high demand can bring about a show count rebound over the weekend. Even though internal politics between national cinema chains have affected screen distribution, word of mouth from the audience has made the film’s momentum remain unharmed.

Future Ahead: Will F1 Be a Super Hit?

With the strong word-of-mouth and steady footfalls, F1 is likely to rake in more than ₹3 crore on Friday, with weekend days likely to touch ₹5 crore each on Saturday and Sunday. If this is the trend, the movie can easily cross ₹50 crore in the second week, leaving it poised for a super hit.

For a non-franchise, original Hollywood movie, these are stellar figures in the Indian market. With good legs and broad appeal, F1 is well on its way to hitting ₹70 crore in its theatrical run, making it one of 2025’s biggest international successes in India.
